🌟 THE TURNER CUP AWARD FOR 2024 🌟

This cup, which was donated to the club by founding family members Harold and Joan Turner, is awarded each year by the committee, to a club member who has made a meaningful contribution to the success of the club over many years.

At the heart of our club is an individual who has contributed significantly to not only the running of our club, but also to the development of member skills since they first appeared on the scene in the mid 1990’s

Then in the early 2000s, having joined the committee, and taking on the role of publicity officer, for quite a few years, ensured that the club's activities reached a wider audience within the Chilcompton area.

This person’s contributions didn’t stop there. Often conducting workshops for our members, sharing expertise in a wide range of artistic techniques. From the intricate details of figure drawing to the delicate beauty of floral work.

The workshops have enriched the artistic journeys of many a member.

We are incredibly grateful for this person’s continuous support and enthusiasm, passion for art, and willingness to share knowledge make them a cherished member of the Chilcompton Art Club.

So, it is with great pleasure that we award this cup to Penny Lloyd, seen here with Chairman Peter Hinge.
